What happens in these sessions? We reflect on the week's Gospel (see this week's Mass-paper). Our sessions start with an introductory exposition of the meaning of our text. This introduction provides a historical and exegetical framework for our thoughts. It is followed by a prayerful silence: we re-read our passage and spend some time with the Word of God. In this period of attentive listening, individually, we engage with the personal message of the text. What is interesting for me, what expression, insight catches my attention? Then, we share our thoughts in an existential reflection. We apply the teaching of Jesus to our life and the life of St Augustine's as a community.
