Short description
  • Providing assistance to a well-established and efficient clams department.
  • A varied role with both administration and customer service duties
 
Full description
  • Process new insurance claim notifications and notifying the relevant insurer within agreed service standards.
  • Collect and analyse accurate information and documents required to validate and proceed with a claim.
  • Negotiate, settle and/or repudiate claims within delegated limits of authority and to refer all claims above delegated authority to underwriters with recommendations.
  • Maintain professional relationships with loss adjusters, Insurers and other relevant legal and claims professionals.
  • Ensure that all new claim notifications are effectively handled and advised to Insurers within agreed service standards.
  • To be first point of contact and provide advice/guidance to policyholders throughout the life cycle of a claim.
  • Monitor the progress of a claim, making sure customers and other relevant parties (internal and external) are kept informed of the progress of claims where appropriate and any issues that may arise.
  • To act in accordance with the agreed procedures and protocols under Delegated Authority Schemes.
  • Understand and adhere to all Company procedures and any areas of concern are notified to the Insurance manager.
  • Ensure all documentation issued and actions taken fall within the agreed service standards and FCA regulations
  • Ensure that all Company security procedures, as detailed in the Personal Information Security Policy, are followed and any areas of concern are notified to your Line Manager

  • A skills path is in place with shows the various levels available and what is expected of these roles i.e. senior, team leader etc.
  • Millennial Forum – apprentice type programme where the forum are asked to show innervation by coming up with an idea for the company this is then researched and present to the Board of Directors in the hope they will invest and support the idea.

Course Type: Apprenticeship Framework

Apprenticeship Delivery: Work based qualification. A tutor will visit you every 4-6 weeks in your work place.
 
Units Covered:
The programme is spread across 12 months and typically covers 15 units with the option to take on extra stretch and challenge units if desired. These units are split into 3 themes which complement each other and create a better learning experience:
  1. Communication in Business
  2. Administrative Services and Functions
  3. Working in Business Teams 
The programme will also require the apprentice to cover Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)
 
Functional Skills: 
Apprentices also work towards a Level 2 qualification in English and maths in the first half of the programme if they have no prior exemption (GCSE’s  A – C or equivalents in English and Maths).

Full description
  • Ensuring that all the daily post is linked to files and is ready for processing within the Team, including but not limited to emails, file notes and diary
  • Franking of all outgoing post to be completed, ensuring that it is ready for collection – when required
  • Accurate data entry and processing of renewal and policy documentation ensuring completion within the agreed service standards
  • Ensuring that all files are filed back into the filing system daily in the correct order and that the filing bays are kept in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Completion of any scanning and shredding of files as required
  • Taking messages where required (following training) ensuring all information is recorded accurately and passed on in a timely manner
  • To Ensure that all Company security procedures, as detailed in the Personal Information Security Policy, are followed and any areas of concern are notified to the your Department Manager
